The Carbon Market Office, the Ghana Carbon Registry and the framework under the Environmental Protection Act, 2025 give Ghana its institutional architecture. What was missing is a practitioner-facing body that strengthens the professional community and engages that architecture as a constructive partner. CMAG fills that gap.

A core purpose of the Association is to drive business to its members. CMAG sources, assesses and channels project pipelines, buyer interest and partnerships to eligible members — on a fair, objective and non-discriminatory basis.
This function is administered separately from our policy and advocacy work, so that engagement with the CMO and EPA stays independent and credible. Every officer discloses commercial interests and abstains from conflicted decisions.
